Just ordered my K2 for the winter build. I built a K1 earlier this year, and have enjoyed it ever since. I went to the recent Melbourne hamfest to upgrade to Extra, and decided to order the K2 to celebrate. (OK, for the seasoned Extras out there, I realize that the general exam I took 20 years ago was probably harder - but heck its a good excuse for a K2!! Besides, studying for it was an excellent review and learning experience for me)
Thanks to the Melbourne Elecrafters for the great display table at the hamfest. It was the first time I was able to look at and play with a K2. That was the clincher for me. Awesome plexiglas K2 case!!.
