So I reran the 5 watt calibration and found that I have 5 watts on EVERY band.

It receives on EVERY band 10MHZ sounds good and strong.

Redoing the tests as before I found the 3.5MHz band DID transmit and receive OK.

BUT the 10MHz band still has minimal output.

I sometimes has to conduct tests a few times before I get an absolutely consistent view of whats going on.

So thats where I am - I would like to get TX working on 10MHz band, I dont use it often but I still want it working if possible.

Andy

The 3.5 MHz and 10 MHz bands share no common components in either the bandpass filter or lowpass filter sections. Those are usually the first line of investigation for band specific lack of output power. If those bands have poor receive sensitivity, I would check the relays on the bandpass filters for those bands first to be sure that you have connectivity through the filter. The 3.5 MHz filter also is used on 160 meters with additional capacitors switched into place, and the 30 meter filter is shared with 20 meters using the same arrangement. Please let us know what your find in receive mode on each band. Thanks, and 73, ? The K3 permits per-band TX power control. I wonder if you inadvertently got into that mode on 80 and 30 meters? It is easy to check in the menu system. That would be much easier fix than looking into the bandpass filter bank. 73, Mike, K8CN ------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft You must be a subscriber to post.
