In the US (FCC), the licensed K4/0 user is defined as a /control
operator/ of the friends K4D (to allow legal manipulation of the
transmitter controls). Either call could legally be used (with
permissions of course, implied since the K4D password was shared); but
the log book should show the _*transmit*_ location; not the location of
the K4/0.
For complete clarity (US), in CW/digital, the full call would show as
"<K4/0 client call>/<K4D call>" (more than FTx would permit).
On phone "<K4/0 call> via <K4D call>"
That's precise and tedious, so most won't bother and would simply use
the K4/0 client call.
