There are SO many ways the KIO3/b can be damaged besides lightning damage ... static electricity in my very dry climate being one of them.

I've owned several rigs over the years and none have ever required repair, and none of those manufacturers touted lasting support in the first place.

Hi Dave,

The primary failure mode on the KIO3 and KIO3b is lightning damage, caused by the failure to do proper grounding and bonding. Don't blame the mfr, look in the mirror.

And while complaining about repair services, have you tried to send anything to the JA mfrs for repair? I have, and it wasn't pretty.
