Dave, thanks for your reply and I have to agree with much of your sentiments.
Its too expensive and beyond my needs to buy a Q5 Signal transverter from the USA and I have now ordered a transverter from Ukraine which covers both 2M and 70CM. Two friends also have transverters from this supplier in Ukraine and are very happy with them. In some ways I sympathise with Elecraft perhaps trying to match customers expectations with a relatively small team?
