To Dave and Mike .... I must hold my hands up and admit to starting a  " wild goose chase " .

I had misinterpreted the manual and  convinced myself that the power reduction when pressing TUNE relied on an ATU being installed ... I had even proved it to myself ... if I did a TUNE at 25W , it didn't reduce power , hereby backing up my false belief .

Taking on board the advice from you both , I found that if I did a TUNE at anything above 25W , the power _was_ reduced ...so it seems that this particular K2 has a power reduction threshold of 25W instead of 20W.

Many thanks to you both for your replies and helping me correct the record , you were right and I was wrong !
