Good Evening,
Snow stopped falling early this week. Now it is slowly melting.
Only a foot is left, but it is dense. I don't see a lot of runoff so it
is soaking the ground. I heard a Pileated woodpecker this afternoon and
a Barred owl at dusk. Some birds are returning but it will take another
week for them to find much to eat. My daffodils are not in danger of
the final snow storms of the year, they are well protected.
The sun is quiet this week, at least on our side. There is one
active spot on the other side which caused a polar blackout and a few
nights of aurora sightings. A CME may hit late tomorrow. There should
be moderate levels of QSB and noise. Time to start planning my next
antennas before the ferns grow tall. A day with a chainsaw will improve
a few paths for them.

I worked on my federal and state taxes this week. When that grew
frustrating I went back to writing software. It was soothing to work on
logical paths built from plainly stated equations. What is it about
bureaucratic directions which make them so mind numbing?
