Good Evening,
Six inches of fresh snow covered the ground as ~30 elk moved
through. They were not even looking for food, they wanted to drop into
a nearby canyon for some quiet. Hunting season has them a little on
edge. Since then it has been quite foggy with a lot of rain. Yesterday
it rained harder with high winds. At 7 PM the power went out until 9
AM. No dipoles would have survived the storm; no snow remains.
The sun is waking up again. Flux is high with many large sunspots.
One of them has had C class activity. In a few days that one will aim
at the earth. Others have M class level activity. CMEs have exited the
sun but few in our direction. A "faint" CME may hit on the 12th. QSB
could be exciting.
