Good Evening,

Conditions were poor to weak.  QSB on both bands with some storm noise on 40 meters.

The day started cool and clear.  As I was making breakfast I saw movement.  It was the tail end of a herd of elk passing through. The bull's antlers were large and still in velvet.  Then a large bird whumped onto the roof, from there to the water basin on the deck.  I had not realized how large Band-tailed pigeons are; just a little smaller than a crow.  They normally live in the crowns of the fir trees a hundred feet above me.
