I recently bought a CM-500 from B&H Photo (a recommended vendor). They were advertising it as having a dynamic microphone, but that was wrong. The CM-500 still has, as it always has had, an electret microphone, which is well supported by the KX3 (and many other Elecraft radios. It even comes with a battery operated power supply which allows it to be used with equipment which was designed for dynamic microphones.
I am definitely not in charge of the product literature for this device, which came from Yamaha. 73 Bill AE6JV > On Apr 3, 2022, at 22:47, Jim Brown <[email protected]> wrote: > > On 4/3/2022 6:58 PM, John Pierce via Elecraft wrote: >> am finding out that the KX3 does not handle a dynamic >> microphone well. > > I disagree, and I'm an audio guy.
