Good Evening,

Noise was low on both bands and QSB was moderate.  Some of you were surprisingly strong.  Forty meters was longer than twenty meters, reaching all the way into New Hampshire.  My weather was mild compared to most of you.  I heard snow, blizzard, wind and power outage.  Some of that wind passed here days earlier, downing trees and cutting power.  Currently the moon is shining with a forecast of a sunny day.  Good for hiking and working on the wood pile.  Time to work off a little more Christmas.

He lay, the intangible self that was Hugh Starke, bellied down in the darkness of the alien shell, quiet, indrawn, waiting.  Panic crept up on its soft black paws.  It walked around the crouching ego and sniffed and patted and nuzzled, whining, and then struck with its raking claws.  After a while it went away, empty.
