Charlie,
If it fits into a USPS Flat Rate box (and a KX3 will nicely), the price
is the same no matter what the distance - if it fits, it ships.
Shipping to (or from) Canada (or any other non-US country) should always
use USPS - both UPS and FedEx collect "brokerage fees" at the
destination. I am not sure about DHL.
Yes, I have done a LOT of shipping via USPS Priority mail. It is wise
to weigh the package and consult the USPS postage calculator to
determine the best method - Flat Rate or regular Priority.
Flat Rate must use the right box, but regular Priority will go in a box
up to 12 x 12 x 12 inches with no increase in price. Greater than 12
inches in any dimension will incur an additional fee.

Yes, that's true for a post card or letter, but Priority Mail rates as well as
Parcel Post, or whatever it's called nowadays, increase with distance.
And very obviously with UPS or FedEx Ground.
By offering CONUS shipping, you are NOT saying you won't ship outside that
range, it's just that it'll cost more.
Don't get me started on shipping to Canada !!!
