Paul, here's something I've been trying to figure out. I go to tower sites, like nutby to do repairs. The tower, especially the cell phone towers have guy wires at 45 degree angles up to the top without any breaks.
If I could have a ratchet device that I would pull with a rope, that would turn a gear with a pulley that would grab the guy wire, I could hoist a pulley up and attach a wire antenna at the top. When finished, pull it down and drive away. Princess auto have a cable ratchet that could be adapted to clamp on, but as you get higher, the pull from the antenna wire weight may make it slip. I've googled for a commericial device but can't find anything.
