I would not hesitate to go the Fusion or Parallels route.. While parallels allows you to run each individual program inside a mac window, fusion does not.. it runs on a separate desktop. however Fusion has many fewer paid upgrades than parallels. I currently run parallels, it works very well, but have not upgraded for the last 3 OS upgrades.. because I run windows7 for my ham programs..
I tested some VM that wasn't cusomized for the OSX and performance was horrible, slow and cranky.. Regards..
