I obtained a bug speed control device from Frank W7IS, the bug guru, that he calls an "Extendadot." It is a sliding tube that doesn't use any other weights. You can adjust the speed super fast. You can see a picture and read about it at http://journals.aol.com/w7is/TELEGRAPHKEY/ Scroll down almost to the bottom of the page. He makes different sizes to fit various bugs and speeds. I had a 15 wpm qso with it and it never skipped a beat, this one is a keeper. You will find his email address in the article.
