Hi Jim - I got the mike connector from my local Radio Shack...I think I had to ask for a Kenwood microphone connector.
I use MixWin and set the K2 for VOX operation instead of PTT. I have the Heil Pro headset whose adapter has a nice jack for a mini plug for the microphone and a 1/4" jack for a foot switch. I just unplug the boom mike from the adaptor (not unplug the adaptor from the K2) and insert the audio plug from the soundcard in the PC. You could order just the adaptor from Heil prewired and use that. I think it was about $30.
