My K-1 is no. 1854. Part no. for the LED matches the Elecraft part no. with
the modification kit. Do I need the LED with the mod kit?
I'm confident I can get the existing LED out in-tact. I work at Palm Beach
Community College. We have the tools to remove the LED in our electronics
program. Students remove ICs routinely.
