I regularly use my KPA500 for meteor scatter on 6m at 550w out, 30 sec on, 30 sec off, for hours in FSK441 mode. CW or SSB is a cakewalk compared to that. Temps run about 65 deg C,. I set the fan at 4, though I don't think it makes much difference. The factory fan algorithm is well-thought out.
