FWIW, I've had my Samlex on 24/7 for about 4 years now. This is
approx. 32,000 hours with no malfunctions. The 1235 outputs into a
transfer switch and the other input comes from a solar charge
controller with 100W of PV on the roof. The transfer switch feeds an
Optima D31 75AH battery, which feeds everything else in the shack.

"Just keeps ticking" is my observation too, but even before today I've
heard of support issues. There were several mentions of this problem
in private emails back to me. I've not experienced this myself, but
I've never needed to contact Samlex (well... yet).

Still - can't have too many power supplies!

Around here, the rest of my supplies are Astron (RS50, RS35, RS20,
RS11 switcher). Don't use 'em much any more.... And they are
reliable but very heavy, except for the switcher.
