Recently, I have started having a really bad wide band noise problem in one direction on 6m. It comes and goes, but is on much of the time. In the past, the IF noise blanker in the K3 has worked well for me, but with this noise, even WID7 setting only knocks it down from S7 to S6. Often the "NB" on the K3 blinks too...I am not sure what that means. The noise level becomes much less when I invoke the DSP NB, but I don't like to use that because I am often trying to work weak signal digital modes, and I can't have little bits and pieces of the spectrum pulled out.

Is there any way to install some custom NB algorithms into the K3, or does anybody else have any suggestions? I have put a sample of the noise on my website here:

I hope to be able to track down the source with my KX3, but it is not always running continuously.
