Tom,

You will have to begin lifting resistors and inductors if you cannot find a solder bridge by inspection. If you end up doing that, do it in an orderly fashion and keep notes as you work - in the heat of troubleshooting often the thought comes up which says "did I try that already?" - notes will help with that question.

As Mike K8CN indicated, take a look at http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/K2-RF-Board-resistance-check-failure-U6-Pin-8-tt7559095.html#a7559102 and see if you can locate the fault using that procedure.

It is very unlikely that you have a bad component, but you should verify the value of all resistors that are connected to the 8A and 8B voltage rails.

8 measures 38.4 ohms to ground and the spec calls for > 100 ohms. Any ideas
