Decades ago, I remember seeing advertisements about a steel I-beam type rail that bolted vertically to the side of a utility pole. There was a trolley type device that was winched up and down the beam by a pulley at the top of the beam. The trolley had provisions for mounting a rotor, or other stuff.
I would like to know more about that unit, and if they are still sold. If you have information, or have seen one, please tell me about it.
