A short piece of ribbon under/around one battery makes it easy to remove the first battery in the set.

I use a not very sharp small flat bladed screwdriver and lightly pry on the

plus side comes up fairly easily and I can remove the battery.

Subject: [Elecraft] KX3 Battery Holder and Batter Removal

So, I saw that KX3 Kit Builder Alert posted yesterday. Even though I was
confident that I did not use the wrong length of screws on the battery holder I
decided to check anyway.

I had a real heck of a time removing the batteries. I mean, really! I am
worried that if I go through this again I could easily damage the insulated
casing of the battery.

Does anyone have a suggestion to making this task easier. Do you use a tool
that will not damage, if so, what is it?

Thanks,
