Gentlemen, I have more amplifiers than radios. I will probably get more K3's. I am a big amp big antenna guy. I did QRP when I was a young kid. Then I got a 100 watt rig. Then I built an Amp, then came big antennas. Long Wires 700 feet long. Rhombics. Monoband Yagis.
I don't collect paper for the wall. I am interested in communicating on a regular basis. For this the K3 is magnificient. Best receiver I have ever owned. I get great reports on transmitted audio. But enough already on qrp. If you want to communicate then big antennas and big amps. The more the merrier. My two cents.
