I agree about the pro-Astron comments, but I wonder just what "passed on" in your present supply? If the transformer is still working, a fix is both easy and cheap if you have done any tinkering in electronic gear.
If you retire it, don't toss it if there's a ham anywhere around who likes tinkering. He/she will greatly appreciate it.
