Hi Wayne, When I'm using my K3 for SSB I mostly use a headset, and I like to have the MON level set so I can hear my own modulation. But I also very often use SPKR+PH=Yes most of the time as I often put down the headphones and walk around the room or do other things (I also mainly use my speakers for CW). But when I don the headset I often forget that the speakers are still on (and MON is above 0), and this causes echo and nasty audio.
