Correct...forgive me for the *brain fade*...yes the new adjustment IS for
the onset of AGC as you point out. My observations still remain as stated.

Apologies to the grout for my tardiness in explaining what I am
seeing/hearing.

I will repeat that the muddiness I had before is now not apparent, at least
to a level that it was and signals are now much easier to make out.

There are some limitations with this FW but that is also being looked at by
Elecraft but I will leave that for the folks at Elecraft to explain.
