You left out mentioning having to tune the ssb generation on a phasing exciter. I have a friend who still uses a Harvey Mills T90 transmitter and R90 receiver along with a Heath SB-10. For some reason, he doesn't use it on 10 meter SSB, even after a long, long warmup.
