Ok, I'm putting on my curmudgeon hat here. The use of "key" to refer to transmit/receive switching is pure, 100% CB-speak. Every time I see the Key Out jack on the back of my K3, even though I *know* it is really the PTT Out, it makes me cringe, even worse than when I see phrases like "PTT Tx keying" on the reflector.
