And as long as the interference is not on YOUR frequency, which is sadly all too common during contest stations heavily overdriving their rigs with their computers and turning their microphone gains up way too high. I've been part of a casual multi-op for WPX this weekend, and I've heard dozens of stations whose audio was so badly distorted that I could not copy their call, even listening to it many times. And when they do that, they're also usually creating lots of sideband splatter.
