YES! You will find many here who are quite pleased with the Yamaha CM500, a boom mic headset designed for and marketed to computer gamers. It is quite comfortable for long periods of time (like a contest weekend), and plugs straight into the rear panel of the K3. It provides very clean and competitive contest/DX audio, and the phones sound great. It sells for about $45. You can spend a LOT more, but you won't find a BETTER headset or mic for the K3 at any price. I retired from a life in pro audio, and I own a bunch of excellent pro mics and headphones. Before I found the CM500, I used one of them (an RE16) with my K3 on a pro mic boom arm, and I used Sony MDR7506 phones. The CM500 is a much better choice. And it blows away the Heil products. 73, Jim Brown K9YC ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
