I haven't tried to carry a K2 on a plane but I have carried other electronic gear through TSA security. TSA likes any complicated piece of electronics (like the K2) to be put in a separate bin. If you pull it out of the case and send it through the X-ray machine separate that will make it easier for them to screen.
