I have been looking on the web for an article out of QST. This article was published in the last two years or so... The article was about an indicator for tuning. The author used a wheatstone bridge. He dumped a lot of power into a dumby load from the xmiter so tehre was just a few microwatts going into the wheatstone bridge. He then could tune the antenna tuner without transmitting on the air. I think it was the primary article in the QST
