Guys, the TS 850 HAS a transverter output. Not the best solution IMO, but it has. There is a socket on the rear panel marked IF OUT. This delivers low level output. The discussion has been going on quite a while ago, so please check the elecraft list archives from about May, 22nd through 27th. or so.
Also check www.mods.dk . There is a mod for safe low-level transverter-operation for the TS-850.
