Hi Pankaj, I am also a mac user and have similar problems like you. It seems that there is a glitch between ekushey and mac osx10.6 or later. The words do not appear as they should be. Typing is also erratic, specially in placing the kar and matra. The only solution I could figure out was to install windows in a partition of mac using bootcamp and use avro in that partition to write and read bangla. We can also wait until someone makes a bangla software fully compatible with mac.
