Great Feedback! Fixing the conjuncts and GPOS table...
Hope to give you a new version by today evening. -- Omi http://omi.net.bd Bangla Computing Projects: http://ekushey.org OSS News in Bangla: http://mukto.org Debojyoti Sarkar wrote:
I've tried Solaimanlipi and Grameenlipi in Word (Windows version). I've attached a pdf of various words written in the two fonts. Solaimanlipi unequivocally looks better mostly because the spacing is correct. More importantly, in many instances involving "juktaakkhar", Grameenlipi could not create the conjugate letters properly. In some other instances, the "u-kaar" is misplaced.----- Original Message ----- From: "Omi Azad" To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ekushey] GrameenLipi font for testing Date: Tue, 15 Jan 2008 20:58:55 +0600 Thanks for your valuable feedback. Can you please download the latest one from http://mukto.googlegroups.com/web/gl2-14_1_08.ttf and check again. As per your information I installed Gutsy and checked everything. The attached file is what I see on my OOo on Gutsy. So I think there is something wrong with the version you have downloaded. Please delete the old one (though the file names are same) and install the above one once again and check. :) Thanks -- Omi http://omi.net.bd Bangla Computing Projects: http://ekushey.org OSS News in Bangla: http://mukto.org Nasimul Haque wrote:Here's the OpenOffice shot. Can you please provide some more screenshots from Open Office? We want to see some conjuncts in action too. To see they works or not. -- Omi http://omi.net.bd Bangla Computing Projects: http://ekushey.org OSS News in Bangla: http://mukto.org Nasimul Haque wrote: Nice to have another font available. However, it does not look good in Ubuntu Gutsy. Attached is the screenshot of my gedit. On Jan 14, 2008 5:21 PM, Enayetur Raheem <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Ya, that is my wish Also. So far we have been testing the font initially and some of the testers already commented that this is a SolaimanLipi killer font. :) Well, both of them are child of Ekushey and we don't want to kill anyone. :) You are invited for testing the font and send your feedback in. We are planning to add the font on Linux UI as a part of Dejavu project. So feedback from Linux users would be very very useful. Please download the test release from: http://egroups.com/group/ekushey/files/Fonts/gl2-14_1_08.ttf Thanks in advance... -- -- Omi http://omi.net.bd Bangla Computing Projects: http://ekushey.org OSS News in Bangla: http://mukto.org -- Best Regard, Raju http://hungrycoder.xenexbd.com ---------------------------- Incredible Bangla Portal www.projanmo.com -- Enayet www.raheems.ca .
