Dear Nicholas,Thank you for your concern about the font licensing. We are concern about the issue and that is why we are no longer using GPL for fonts. Have a look at this: http://www.ekushey.org/index.php?blog/ show/Rupalifontisupdatedwithhighqualityglyphs.htmlSo, if we update any font, that will be released under OFL. Is that enough?Omi
Thanks for the pointer Omi, but I would still appreciate it if you could list, prominently on the website and in reply, every font and keyboard layout, the current License(s) that apply, and which version this refers to. Personally I find the Open Font License great (I have my own version of Gentium), though I'm not too sure if it suits Apple, I expect it will.
Of note, I only really care about the Rupali and Solaiman Lipi faces (as amended by Raiyan) and his two keyboard layouts; but for completeness and clarity, you should list the Windows fonts too.
Furthermore, the installers Raiyan created display the LGPL. If these fonts were in fact released after the switch to OFL (as indicated by the dates of the respective blog posts about OFL and OS X fonts), the installers need to be amended to reflect this fact, and words added to the website to the effect of "please ignore the shrink-wrap license that came with the old installer, it was out of date, the correct license is the OFL".
- Nicholas.
