OK, I feel dumb. There's a box to check in alsamixer to use the microphone jack on the front of my box. I still don't know how to make the USB mike on my webcamera work but at least it isn't a specifically Ekiga problem. -- Jack Smith English doesn't borrow from other languages -- English follows other languages down dark alleys and takes what it wants.
