Not a helpful message but just... I agree with you Mark. This seems a interesting but missing feature for Ekiga. A wish for next version.
To take a comparison with another program (not VoIP but), gaim is able to reconnect to the network either manually or automatically if the connection is lost whatever is the protocol/account.
