Hi all! We're kicking off the Eduwiki/WikiTeachIn campaign today - in Czech we call it "Uč(s)Wiki" - "Teach (with) Wiki" but we tweet with hashtag #EduWiki too. We have a joint press release <http://otevrenevzdelavani.cz/wikipediste-nauci-skolaky-kriticky-posuzovat-informace/> with EduIN, a Czech NGO which supports open education. And we're holding a press conference in a few minutes time. E-mail to [email protected] if you are interested in more - she's not on this list (she's a candidate for a collab member).
There is already an article about the programme in a leading Czech tabloid :-) http://www.blesk.cz/clanek/zpravy-udalosti/417047/ucitele-berou-wikipedii-na-milost-nahradi-biflovani-poucek-hledani-na-webu.html I hope other countries are joining too! This is a great way to let teachers and their pupils about Wikipedia! After all, most Wikipedians become Wikipedians when they are at secondary schools. best, Vojtěch Dostál předseda rady / chair of the board Wikimedia Česká republika | http://www.wikimedia.cz Facebook <https://www.facebook.com/Wikimedia.CR> | Twitter <https://twitter.com/Wikimedia_CR> | Newsletter <http://eepurl.com/b--eXr> 2016-08-30 2:58 GMT+02:00 Loreen Ruíz <[email protected]>: > Dear Collab members, > > Happy almost September!
