I have not dug into the documents to determine exactly what this command does, but it "magically" fixed a few things for me.
I have also noticed that I sometimes have to re-fresh the viewer in order to be able to see the desktops of logged in clients. I have not been able to get any of the other features of the thin client manager to work. I am using the same environment you are.
