Can any one help?

I have been looking for information on how to set the login screen resolution
of a thin client but have been unsuccessful.

I have loaded up a computer with Edubuntu 7.04 and connected a thin client.
The server works fine.

The Thin Client works fine except for the login screen.
The default login screen resolution seems to be to high for the client
card/monitor. It looks like it may be at 1600x1200.
When I 1st log in to the client as a new users the login screen and the
desktop, after I log in, both have very high resolution that causes them to be
very hard to read/see. If I ignore the login screen resolution and just login I
get to the desktop. I can change the resolution for the desktop and the desktop
looks good. When I reboot the client the login screen still has a resolution
that is too high even though the desktop now goes to the previously set good
resolution.

How do I change the login screen resolution?

Any help is appreciated.
