I just tried installing a firewall to my new system. I had downloaded Smoothwall 2.0, when I tried to install it nothing happened (thankfully). I discovered and read the installation instructions and found out that it would have wiped my whole system. Now, I have 2 questions, how do you install stuff on a Linux machine? and can anyone reccomend a good firewall, as I'm a bit gunshy now after the smoothwall incident.
