I mean that I downloaded : http://ftp.heanet.ie:/pub/ubuntu-releases/edubuntu/6.10/edubuntu-6.10-install-i386.iso and it IS a live cd installer. I didn't try http://ftp.heanet.ie:/pub/ubuntu-releases/edubuntu/6.10/edubuntu-6.10-live-i386.iso presuming that to be a live cd installer. > http://releases.ubuntu.com/edubuntu/6.10/edubuntu-6.10-install-i386.iso > is the PRIMARY recommended installation CD; the LiveCD is a somewhat > accidental "alternate" option, as I understand it. Agreed. This is why I did download the -install- iso. The md5sum of the image corresponds to that of edubuntu-6.10-install-i386.iso in http://releases.ubuntu.com/edubuntu/6.10/MD5SUMS However, it is a live cd installer. I haven't checked but I presume the -live- image is too? Perhaps something wierd is happening here?
