The live cd installer isn't the recommended route, because (even if it doesn't crash) it doesn't set up the LTSP server with DHCP, tftpboot, etc. I know because I installed from the Live CD last week (by accident - I mean to download the install CD!) and was then informed of the above when I asked why I couldn't find /etc/ltsp/dhcpd.conf... > It is my understanding that if you use the Ubuntu alternate installer and > just install a very base Ubuntu system, and then "apt-get install > edubuntu-desktop" that the effect is the same as installing Edubuntu from a > CD. That's the one that sets everything up to work OOTB. Once I used the right CD, everything came up just fine. I edited /etc/ltsp/dhcpd.conf, restarted dhcpd, and everything was all set. Good luck!
