Public bug reported: == Observed Behaviour ==
When starting Gimp, *all* menu items are greyed out. I can click 'File', but all menu entries (New, Create, Save, ...) are greyed out. Same for Edit, Select, ... Help. If I invoke "gimp $filename" or drag'n'drop an image file on The Gimp, it will render the image, allow me to edit it, but still not enable File->Save etc. When Closing The Gimp, it will ask me whether I want to store it as .xfc somewhere. == Expected Behaviour == Menu entries shouldn't be greyed out. == Additional Info == I've recently upgraded to Bionic from previous LTS, but purging Gimp, deleting the user's config files and reinstalling Gimp doesn't resolve the problem.
