It appears so, Chris. And that may be just what I've been talking about with
references to the cartoon "Pinky & The Brain" and their desire to "take over
the world"....

There have been cases of retailers doing this in the past - basically saying
"do the EDI relationship with us through Brand X" even though you use Brand Y
or M or N or L.... But now GXS is taking that "tough guy" stance from the
retailer and putting it into play for their own benefit, rather than for the
possible benefit of the retailer (HUB)...

I would look at the Hub's reasons for forcing suppliers X, Y and Z to use Brand
X VAN because they're getting some kind of a deal or a break in the pricing
structure from Brand X, by forcing suppliers X, Y & Z to sign up for Brand X
VAN...

Again, it's bad business practice, in my opinion, to require somebody to use a
particular brand of something.... Imagine if you were required to take your
car ONLY to the dealership for ALL repairs and/or parts.... You need new
tires? Well come on down to Bob Jones Ford (Chevy, Jaguar, Cadillac, Jeep,
Honda, whatever) to buy your tires from us! We're your only choice, you
know.... And then you have to pay 70 bucks an hour in labor charges to get
tires at an over the MSRP installed on your car.... Of if the builder of your
home required you to only use THEIR construction company for any modifications,
additions or changes you want to make to your living space.. You want sage
color walls with coffee trim? Sure, we'll send our painting department right
over. You can't do it yourself, you can only use our painting crew....

Imagine that...
