I would look in two ways. a. What all are the external systems communicating with my machine? b. How am I being communicated to external network. A. External systems in the network mostly like the backend, database, and other application systems which are in the network gets impacted. B. With external world, I would guess, your change in IP address is on internal server, which is mapped to the network IP, so, make sure that is rightly mapped, which wont impact any external partners. Or, you might need to inform your partners who are doing ftp, sftp directly hitting on your machine.
