(Technical *competence* is certainly signficant and IMNSHO far more so than is technical *knowledge* but I digresss...) That's certainly my view, apparently shared by several others here. However, just start keeping score on all the "Jobs" postings here and elsewhere.....you'll see a lot more "requirements" for a whole slew of geeky acronymns and niche-market brand name products than you will descriptions of the user's business.
