Description The Department of Biology at the University of Florida College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, renewable, non-tenure accruing faculty position at the level of Lecturer in Global Change, Biodiversity, and Conservation beginning August 16, 2019. This is a renewable appointment with the possibility of promotion based on experience and merit. We seek a colleague who will develop and teach courses at the undergraduate level in global change ecology, sustainability, and biodiversity. The applicant will be assigned other courses as needed, and may develop courses in their area of specialty that can serve as electives for the Biology major. The teaching expectation is three courses per semester. Qualifications The successful candidate should possess a doctoral degree in the biological sciences or other relevant discipline at time of the appointment. Strong preference will be given to applicants with at least one year of teaching experience.
